Project Description: MIELKE has been the piping contractor of choice for RJ Runge and NASA on this massive piping upgrade project.  To date this project has spanned 4-years and 3-separate bid packages and each time NASA has selected the team of RJ Runge and MIELKE; this doesn’t happen without safe, effective and efficient performance on each phase of the work.  The project includes modifications, upgrades and replacements to the steam infra-structure at NASA’s Glenn Research facility.  There is major piping installations throughout basements, tunnels and beside active roadways throughout the facility.  MIELKE’s scope includes installation of all steam & condensate piping, including Perma-pipe direct buried pre-insulated systems.  Like most of our major projects, the piping is BIM modeled and pre-fabricated ahead of field installations.
