This project included the complete renovation of a 29-story building, a historic rotunda and an adjacent 13-story building.  MIELKE provided all plumbing infrastructure, finishes and HVAC piping systems in this exciting project which includes residential apartments, high end “sky suites”, an upscale  Marriott Signature Collection hotel and multiple restaurants and hospitality venues. MIELKE’s scope also included the installation of a steam turbine which utilizes high pressure steam to generate electricity and the secondary steam is then used for building & domestic water heating.  It is only the 11th such turbine installed in the entire country.  Our teams completed over 100,000 man hours of mechanical piping & insulation work in less than 12-months working multiple shifts around the clock for most of the project.
